Design Process

There are two main options when it comes to creating your wedding stationery.

Bespoke - created to capture you as a couple, entirely and especially for you.

Semi-customisable House Collections - these can be tailored to meet your needs and information.

The processes for each have been outline below.

1. Say Hello

You can get in touch a number of ways, my contact form, email, or social media. Say hello and let me know a little bit about you, your wedding day and what it is you're looking for.

2. Let's chat

We set a date for a phone, video call or in person chat, to discuss all the details. We'll go through options, styles, numbers, schedule, inspiration and everything in between. A cuppa, wine or beverage of choice is encourgaed.

3. Information & Inspiration

After our chat and we've worked out what you want and need, I will send over a personalised quote and a deposit invoice for the design fee.

I will also send over a wording template and guide for you to complete and return to me, so that I can use them to bring your designs together.

You can send me any images or ideas you've already collected  and if you've got any specific places, pets or memories that need to be illustrated then send them over too.

4. Moodboard & Sketches

Whilst you are collecting all your wording information, I will put together a moodboard tailored specifically to you, including colours, imagery, fonts and inspiration. I will also create a set of initial digital sketches to help you visualise your invitations. I will then send them over digitally for you to check and confirm you are happy before we move onto the designing stage.

5. Designing

I will use all the information we've collected together to start designing all elements of your stationery. I will need the final completed wording template at this stage. So that it can be added to your invitations. This is when I will draw, paint, illustrate, create hand lettering and calligraphy just for you. I will keep you in the loop along the way via email.

6. Proofs

Once I have completed all your design work, I will send you over a set of digital proofs for you to check, suggest any amendments and once happy, approve them ready to proceed onto printing. This is when the printing fee is due.

7. Printing and prepping

Now that you have approved the work, the files get sent to the printers.

They then come back to me, for final checks, adding any finishing touches, like metalic leaf, ribbons, tags, calligraphy names, all before sorting and packaging.

8. Over to you

Once everything is ready to go, they are checked again, packaged carefully and either delivered or posted to you depending on what you've opted for.

We aim to get all bespoke stationery items out from start to finish in 8-10 weeks depending on communication response and level of design details.
